Fleas

All dogs with fleas will result in a £20 extra surcharge

  1. Please make me aware if your dog has/had fleas in the last 2 weeks – A flea bath will be given at their groom.
  1. If your dog has fleas and it’s due for a groom I will make sure it is the last dog of the day so there is no cross contamination, this also gives me the time to be able to flea bomb the parlour without having to close down for the rest of the day..

3. Once a dog with fleas has entered the parlour a flea bomb will be done to avoid any cross-contamination

Matting

Matted dogs will result in a £30 surcharge

If your dog arrives matted I will have no other option but to shave the dog off for it’s own safety. Matts can cause sores on the skin leading to pain. As stated in the animal welfare act (2006), we cannot ‘brush’ these out, they must be clipped.

  1. Matting causes skin irritation due to dirt
  2. Parasites such as fleas, ticks and even maggots may become trapped under the hair and cause skin infection.
  3. Hair loss - as mats become tighter, they can pull on the skin, causing hair loss
  4. Mats can obstruct the skin and hide conditions such as hot spots, sores and other skin issues. These can only be revealed once the hair has been clipped off and may need medical treatment.
  5. The skin beneath tight matts is usually raw and inflamed
  6. De-matting puppies tends to make them dislike the grooming experience.

Cancellations

Please let me know if you cannot make your appointment, things change and happen I understand. We can always move your times/days around to suit you better.

Less than 24 hours notice will result in full payment 100% fee as the slot accommodated to you will not get filled.

No shows will also be charged a 100% no show fee for the same reasons stated above.

48 hour cancellation will result in 50% fee.

15 minute grace period

If you are running late please let me know. If you are later than 15 minutes to your allocated appointment I will not have time to complete your dogs groom to the best possible standard. A choice of a bath and tidy or a dry cut will be offered if able to get to us within enough time to do so. This will still be full price.

Social Media

I take photos and videos throughout grooms for my social media accounts. If you are unhappy for me to post your pet, please make me aware

Other Things to Note

- Cash or Bank Transfer (BACS payments to be made before collection)

- Shampoo and perfume available to buy

- I use a range of different treats so please make me aware if your pet has any allergies.

- As careful as we are as groomers, mistakes do happen and injuries can occur. We use sharp equipment day in and day out. If an issue arises due to an injury whether it’s myself or the client, you will be notified immediately. Worst case scenario I will take them straight to the vet myself if there are any concerns.
