1. About Us
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our services and website. Grooming With Ams is operated by Amy, based at 125 Tarring Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 4HE (telephone: 07516 615218). By booking an appointment or using our website, you agree to these terms.
2. Bookings & Appointments
- Appointments can be made via our website contact form or by telephone.
- A booking is confirmed once you have received confirmation from us.
- We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.
- Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a reduced service or rescheduling.
3. Cancellations & No-Shows
- We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booked service price.
- Failure to attend without notice (a no-show) may result in a charge of the full appointment fee.
- We understand that emergencies happen and will always try to be reasonable — please just let us know as soon as possible.
4. Pricing
- Prices listed on our website are starting prices. Final pricing may vary depending on your dog's breed, coat condition, size, and behaviour.
- We will always aim to advise you of any price variation before commencing the groom.
- Prices are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any changes.
5. Your Dog's Health & Welfare
- You confirm that your dog is up to date with their vaccinations and is in generally good health.
- You must inform us of any health conditions, allergies, injuries, behavioural traits, or sensitivities that may affect your dog's groom.
- We reserve the right to stop a groom at any time if we believe it is in the best interests of your dog's welfare or the safety of our staff.
- If your dog requires veterinary attention during their appointment, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you, we may seek emergency veterinary care at your expense.
- We take every precaution with your dog's safety, but grooming does carry a small inherent risk, particularly for dogs that are elderly, anxious, or have underlying health conditions.
6. Aggressive or Difficult Dogs
We love all dogs — but the safety of your pet and our staff comes first. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a groom if a dog displays behaviour that poses a risk of injury. In such cases, you will still be liable for any costs already incurred.
7. Liability
- We take great care in grooming every dog, but we cannot be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions that become apparent during grooming (such as matting, skin conditions, or injuries discovered beneath the coat).
- Our liability in connection with any grooming service is limited to the value of that service.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to resolve the matter. We take all feedback seriously and are committed to providing an excellent experience for every dog and their owner.
